Okay, Japan, we know you get a lot more than the American releases, but this is ridiculous!

God damn it, Game Freak.

We could've used such a thing in Generation II too, you know (pun intended).

I finally got around to playing Crystal, and here's my thoughts on it. *HEAVY SPOILERS*

Firstly, the Trainers with PokeGear numbers FINALLY got their own personalities. It's nice to see something besides nonsense that is literally the exact same between trainers and which made you wonder why it was even included in Gold and Silver.

Secondly, I really enjoyed them adding Suicune to the plot. The showdown in Tin Tower - that music...they really should've adapted that subplot for HGSS instead of the wild goose chase into Kanto we got. I mean really, I'd take an epic boss battle in the middle of an ancient tower, with Ho-Oh implied to be making its way to the rooftop, over a random battle on a cape outside Cerulean City. Wouldn't you?

Thirdly, the Odd Egg...why was this a thing again? An Egg...which hatches into Smoochum? What's the point?

Fourthly, changes to the wild Pokemon lists. I really enjoy seeing the first couple routes bolstered with different Pokemon not there in Gold and Silver.

In the meantime, I've been taking a break from it.

Namely, because Lance continually manages to kick my ass somehow, even though my team is a Haunter, a Togetic, a Typhlosion, and Suicune - soon to be joined by Raikou and Entei. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?! I had no trouble in Gold...never mind, Crystal is a good challenge.

Well, that concludes my little mini-review on the main story of Crystal.

And so, I begin two Let's Plays.

Firstly, I've started a let's play of Pocket Monsters - Red, aka the Japanese Red.

Secondly, I've started a let's play of the American Red - Pokémon Red.

Gonna start playing Platinum.

I've never actually played Platinum, honestly.

I'm going to play it on DesMUME, using an Action Replay to have the clerks deliver the event items and such.

It starts...now!

Diancie has invaded the GTS.

Please, just-

ORAS finally came out in Europe. Oh, and I react to the Mega Evolutions introduced in ORAS.

Of course, the idea that it's an international release YET YOU RELEASE IT IN EUROPE A WEEK LATER is in itself a contradictory statement.

Oh, and in this post, I react to Mega Evolutions added in ORAS.

Mega Pidgeot: Why does this even exist?

Mega Slowbro: WHAT THE FUCK? THAT LOOKS DISTURBING.

Mega Audino: Why? Why not Mega Blissey instead?

Mega Steelix: I was wondering when this would happen. Apparently it's now.

Mega Latias: Hmm...it looks the same as Mega Latios.

Mega Latios: No originality here, folks, identical to Mega Latias.

Mega Gallade: Well, this is new. TWO DIFFERENT EVOLUTIONS GETTING A MEGA EVOLUTION?!

Mega Diancie: This is why I fucking hate having to wait until Christmas for ORAS. I got my Diancie, and now I have to wait TWO FUCKING MONTHS TO MEGA EVOLVE IT?!

Mega Lopunny: *laughs* Really, Game Freak? Thanks for continuing the Lopunny meme. I'm joking, by the way.

Mega Rayquaza: So...Diancie, Mewtwo (TWICE), Latios, Latias, AND NOW RAYQUAZA?! Attack of the Mega Evolved Legendaries?! At least it's not a stone Mega Evolution...

Mega Metagross: This actually looks cool.

Mega Salamence: Was this really necessary?

Mega Glalie: I got this in the demo, and it's immediately become my lead Pokemon. That's how much I use it. I Mega Evolve it every time.

Mega Altaria: Okay, then.

Mega Camerupt: This looks so funny. IS THAT A TEAM MAGMA SYMBOL ON ITS FOREHEAD?!

Mega Sharpedo: I actually like this Mega Evolution. No comment.

Mega Sableye: INTO OU/UBER YOU GO, SABLEYE!

Mega Swampert: What the fuck?

Mega Sceptile: It was only a matter of time...

Mega Beedrill: Wait, what? I just found out about this. Why, Game Freak, why?

Yes, I'm an American, but I don't get ORAS UNTIL CHRISTMAS.

Well, that's all for today's post.

My first post on here? Hmm, time for an introduction!

Firstly, a few things.

GameFAQs Contributor Page: http://www.gamefaqs.com/users/DarthNightmaric/contributions

YouTube channel is up, you can access it from here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPRxVYAwKrc-awoMLcumTaw

I'm also on Glitch City Laboratories, Bulbapedia, Miiverse (as Darth, just look on the Pok émon X and Y Community), FanFiction.Net, etc.

Anyway, this blog is for Pokémon discussionn and rants. I do a lot of glitching, so that's one of the subject matters I deal with.

I also run my own spinoff from the GameFAQs message boards: http://gamefaqs4.freeforums.net

And a handy supplement to the Help Files from GameFAQs: http://gamefaqsguide.angelfire.com

But anyway, my first post.

I've been studying Glitch Pokémon in the Generation 1 games.

You can always reach me on AIM (AIM is Darth Nightmaricus), or on Gmail: email is darthnightmaricus@gmail.com

I'm a big fan of Youtubers VanossGaming (and his friends), Slowflake (shame he left, he'll be back though), MissingnoXpert, TheZZAZZGlitch, and TheJWittz.

I go through GameFAQs accounts quickly, so providing a link to a message boards account is pointless, plus I'm not active on the boards anyway anymore. I'm on most spinoffs.

I've also been working on a few projects:

-Translating the Japanese Generation 1 Pokémon games (Red, Green, Blue, and Pikachu/Yellow) and fixing it so MissingNo. doesn't crash Red and Green.
-Making a hack of FireRed and LeafGreen to fix some bugs, add newer Pokémon, and glitch Pokémon.

I also operate a wiki, the Glitch Pokémon Encyclopedia: http://glitchpokemon.wikia.com

Well, that's all for now.

I've got lots of stuff to do...

Plus, I've uploaded my first YouTube video, a tutorial on how to do the Old Man glitch.

I plan on doing Let's Plays of the following games on YouTube:

Pocket Monsters - Red
Pocket Monsters - Green
Pocket Monsters - Blue
Pocket Monsters - Pikachu
Pokémon Red
Pokémon Blue
Pokémon Yellow

The Japanese Red LP will start probably next month or January 2015.

Darth out.
